Spicy Barbecue Sauce

A twist on classic barbecue sauce with hints of spice, roasted tomatoes, and molasses. Slow-cooked with fresh garlic and herbs, highlighted with chilis, cayenne, and other tasty sh*t. 

 

Always tasty on burgers, ribs, baked chicken, and more! 

Ingredients

Tomatoes, Molasses, Brown Sugar, Garlic, Chipotle Peppers, Cayenne, and other tasty sh*t. 

Tasty Tips

  • Shake jar well before using

  • Keep refrigerated at all times

  • Mix with a little mayo for a quick burger sauce

Heat oven to 350° & line a 8x8 pan with foil or spray lightly with nonstick spray. Place the bottom half of the slider buns in the pan.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 1.5-2 CUPS COOKED CHICKEN, SHREDDED, ABT HALF LB 

  • 6 SLIDER BUNS

  • 1/4 RED ONION, THINLY SLICED

  • 1 CUP SHREDDED PEPPER JACK CHEESE 

  • 1-2 TBS BUTTER

  • 1 TBS CHOPPED CILANTRO

  • 1/2 TSP GARLIC POWDER 

  • SALT & PEPPER TO TASTE

  • 12 BREAD & BUTTER PICKLE SLICES

  • SPICY BARBECUE SAUCE JAR

In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken with salt, pepper, your jar of SPICY BARBECUE SAUCE. Spread evenly across buns.

Sprinkle shredded cheese onto the shredded chicken. Top with red onion & replace the top bun.

In a small bowl, melt the butter & stir in cilantro and garlic powder. Brush over the tops of the buns.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls get a lightly brown crust and the cheese melts.

Remove from oven. Gently pull apart, place two pickles on each sandwich, and enjoy!

You can easily customize this recipe with additional toppings like crispy coleslaw, jalapenos, garlic mayo, or any cheese you have on hand!
